In Russia, passenger car production decreased by 12%

This follows from Rosstat data for 2025. Production of trucks and buses fell significantly more.

The total production of passenger cars in Russia amounted to 673 thousand units in 2025, which is 12% less than a year earlier. Truck production fell by 33% to 131 thousand units.

The production of buses decreased the most in 2025. In the case of vehicles weighing more than 5 tons, the drop was 38%, and production volumes were 9.4 thousand units. Buses weighing less than 5 tons were produced in Russia in the amount of 14 thousand, which is 30% less than a year earlier.
