In Russia, the 712-horsepower Ram TRX was turned into a heavy armored car

The Armorgroup studio showed a new project: a bulletproof truck with a hidden capsule protection of the BP5 standard. The basis was the infernal RAM TRX with a 712-horsepower compressor V8. From the shelling of Dragunov with a sniper rifle, 7.62 caliber cartridges protested the perimeter of the cabin, roof and floor, doorways were complemented by bullets. The motor compartment is also booked.

The choice of the donor is not explained in any way, but in Russia the RAM TRX super -picaps lit up with the Chechen special services. However, the Nizhny Novgorod studio can book any truck: the program is standard. The thickness of the side glasses increases to 56 mm, wind – up to 47 mm, from below, anti -icing protection against mines is added, and the evacuation exit through the hatch is also enhanced.

The power plant does not interfere, but the standard springs and shock absorbers change to reinforced ones, another brake system with heat -resistant blocks, more hardy disks and more productive brake calipers are also installed. The equipped mass of RAM TRX after booking is not specified, but it clearly exceeded the mark of 3.5 tons. Even the usual pickup does not fit into category B.

The price of armored pickupa is provided on request. The truck has a functional on -board body. The dynamics also remains very worthy, because the basic RAM TRX easily accelerates to a 190 km/h limiter, and after a small tuning of the pickup, a mark of 250 km/h is submitted.
