In Russia, the production of new brand JLAND is launched

The assembly was organized at the former General Motors plant in St. Petersburg, which in 2019 acquired Hyundai, but did not manage to master. Now the site belongs to the Art-Finance affiliated with the AGR holding, and there is already preparations for serial production of models under the new Jeland brand, the Chinese cars portal found out. The plant operates under the Sample “AGM”.

The publication refers to a source familiar with the process of certification of Jeland cars. Soon, the approval of the type of vehicle should receive two models: Jland 35T and 42T. According to unofficial data, the Jaecoo J7 and J8 are hidden behind these indices. At the same time, according to the Russian car telegram channel, these models are currently collecting a large-sized method at the former Hyundai factory in St. Petersburg, where the Solaris line.

“Chinese cars”, in turn, report that the serial release of Jaeco will be launched by the GM ex-WHO in the summer of this year, and these cars will go on sale under the JLAND brand. Thus, Jaecoo will replenish a list of brands that changed the original Chinese name to a new one in Russia. Among these are Moskvich, Sollers (JAC), Xcite, Tenet (Cheri) and Esteo (EXEED).

In the meantime, Jaecoo is presented in the Russian market by the J7 crossovers (from 2.3 million rubles with discounts) and J8 (from 3.8 million rubles). Soon they should also join them “younger” J5, the price of which has not yet been declared. This crossover will be offered in two modifications: with a 1.5-liter turbo engine, a variator and front-wheel drive, as well as with a fondelled unit 1.6, a semi-diapas “robot” with a double clutch and a full-wheel drive.
