According to the National Insurance Information System (NSIS), earlier the short -term policy was limited to a calendar day. Now, such OSAGO will be valid 24 hours from the date of registration. The new regulations will save money for motorists who rarely use cars.

The new rules for the design of short -term CTP was introduced at the request of the Central Bank. Previously, the validity of one -day policies ended on the day of registration, so insurance stopped working at midnight, regardless of the time of conclusion of the contract. Such a regulation made “daily” compulsory motor liability insurance not profitable, since drivers planning a trip within 24 hours had to issue a policy for two days.

The new rules will avoid overpayments, since the validity period of CTP will be 24 hours from the date of registration.
