A group of deputies introduced a bill to the lower house of parliament, aimed at tightening responsibility for non -letters of ambulance. The explanatory note to the document states that it is proposed to increase the fine for such actions to 20-30 thousand rubles, as well as introduce the obligatory deprivation of a driver’s license for a period of three months to two years.

Now the punishment for non -vacation of special transport is regulated by Article 12.17 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The authors of the initiative consider it necessary to highlight such a violation in a separate category.

Such an initiative was made by the chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Affairs of Veterans, Yaroslav Nilov. He noted that drivers of ambulances, firefighters and police cars, performing urgent official tasks, are forced to violate the rules of the road. Despite this, cameras continue to record and make fines, which, according to the deputy, requires legislative revision.
