In the suburbs, the new season of the Grand Prix of the Russian drift of the series starts

Already this weekend, four dozens of pilots from Russia and the countries of the near abroad will gather on the Moscow Raceway highway to compete for victory in the first stage of the RDS GP. The number of participants in 2025 increased due to the expansion of teams, the emergence of new groups and independent pilots.

The new season of the Russian Drift Grand Prix (RDS GP) promises to become one of the most interesting and tense in history. The regulations will change, new participants will appear, which will make the races even more unpredictable. The first stage of the RDS GP 2025 will traditionally be held on the Moscow Region Moscow Raceway highway, where more than four dozens of pilots from Russia and neighboring countries, as well as thousands of drift fans, will gather on April 26–27.

Since 2025, the regulations of the championship provide for the expansion of the maximum composition of the commands and the distribution of pilots by qualification groups using a draw. Each team can declare the weekend of four athletes at once. Moreover, from the stage to the stage, the composition of the teams may vary due to the personal test pilots or the participants of the Wild Card.

The format brilliantly proven in 2024, according to which the RDS Europe has been able to hold the stage in the Grand Prix series, stated for the entire season, stored. In 2025, from RDS Open according to the Wild-Card scheme, athletes will be able to get to the start of three stages to choose from. They can also be in the command test and score points.

In the season of the Russian Grand Prix season, the series 2025 immediately expanded their composition. For example, TimeUp to the current RDS GP champion Artyom Shabanov, experienced Leonid Schneider and Maxim Grossman added the RDS Europe 2024 vice champion in the standings of Pro Kirill Matskievich. The athlete has already performed at RDS GP, debuting last year on Wild-Card on the “reverse” configuration of the Moscow Raceway. Now a promising pilot from Minsk will have the first full season in the tournament.
