In order to establish new production within the country in 2024, more than 350 billion rubles were invested in the auto industry, Interfax writes with reference to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. First of all, the funds went to restart the plants left by the departed companies, he noted.
Investments allowed to launch 10 modern plants, including electric vehicles, Mishustin noted. The sites earned in Togliatti, Izhevsk, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tula and Kaluga regions and in a number of other regions.
He also recalled the support of the interest of buyers: 43 billion rubles were allocated for preferential car loans and leasing last year. Good demand spurred production, the volume of which grew by almost a third – up to 830 thousand cars. True, these are not only cars, but also komtrans, buses and trucks.
