It became known when the cheapest crossover Jaecoo will be brought to the Russian Federation

The model under the J5 index, which will become the most compact in the brand line, will appear in the assortment of one of the major Russian dealers in the summer of 2025. It was possible to find out about this by the Rossiyskaya Gazeta. That is, the debut period shifted for about six months: at the end of 2024, Jaecoo promised to bring J5 at the beginning of this year.

In dimensions, Jaecoo J5 is close to Toyota C-HR. The length of the crossover is 4.38 meters, the width and height is 1.86 and 1.65 meters, respectively, at a 2.62-meter wheelbase. At the same time, the clearance is slightly larger than that of the larger Jaecoo J7 – 190 millimeters against 186.

It was reported that the Russians new Jaecoo will be offered in five colors – “Dark Emerald”, “Sea Indigo”, “Wet asphalt”, “White mother of pearl” and “Black Pearl”. The list of equipment will include a 13.2-inch screen of the media system, climate control, a “winter” package and a circular review camera with a “transparent” chassis.

“Technique” is also known: these are 1.5 and 1.6 turbo engines, combined with front and all -wheel drive, respectively. Judging by the gamut of the mother’s Chery, a power of 147 and 150 horsepower can be expected. Subsequently, Jaecoo plans to add J5 hybrid and fully electric versions. It is not yet clear whether they will reach Russia.

Meanwhile, Jaecoo is already collected in Russia: the J7 large-wire assembly was established at the former Hende Motor Manuupacturing Rus in St. Petersburg, now owned by the AGR. In the summer, the crossover is promised to equip a 1.5-liter engine, which the Chinese version does not have.
