AGR Holding will develop the new brand in collaboration with Defetoo, which already supplies vehicle kits for Tenet cars to the plant in Kaluga.
AGR announced the start of preparations for the launch of a new brand on the Russian market. The Jeland brand will complement the “modern Russian automotive ecosystem” that AGR and Defetoo are creating on a long-term basis.
“The start of production of Jeland brand cars is planned for the 1st half of 2026. Additional information about the brand philosophy, model range and timing of market entry will be provided later,” notes the AGR release received by Motor.
The company has not officially announced which cars will be produced under the Jeland brand. At the same time, the announcement of the new brand coincided with the appearance of information about the start of operation of the former General Motors plant in St. Petersburg and the start of production of three Jaecoo models there.
Previously, unofficial information appeared that Jaecoo in Russia would be renamed Jeland.
The legal entity “Jayland Rus” already owns the official website of Jaecoo in Russia.
