JD Power lists 30 Chinese-made cars that don’t break down

The car quality rating was based on a survey of 14 thousand owners of 127 models that were purchased from July 2025 to February 2026. The study covered 218 parameters in nine categories, based on the results of which the PP100 coefficient was calculated – the number of problems per 100 cars.

Among the brands, the best results were shown by Land Rover (200 PP100), Cadillac (203 PP100) and Volvo (206 PP100), followed by Porsche, Lexus, Dongfeng-Honda, Chery (213 PP100) and Geely (214 PP100).

The list also includes GAC-Honda, Changan, Jetour, GAC-Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Haval, Tank, Buick, Roewe, SAIC-Volkswagen and Changan-Mazda.

In the compact sedan segment, the Changan Eado Plus was recognized as the best, with the Roewe i5 and MG 5 taking second and third places.

Among compact sedans, Toyota Levin and Changan Eado Max are more expensive. The leaders in the mid-size class are Volkswagen Bora, Volkswagen Golf and Geely Emgrand (generation V). Among the business sedans, Volkswagen Passat, Honda Inspire, as well as Chery Arrizo 8 and Arrizo 8 Pro are noted.

In the compact crossover category, Geely Coolray and Changan CS35 Max won; Among the more expensive ones are Changan CS55 Plus (Uni-S) and Lynk & Co 06.

In the economy class of mid-size crossovers, the best were Changan CS75 Pro, Chery Tiggo 7 Plus, Geely Cityray and Jetour X70 Plus; in the more expensive segment – Chery Tiggo 8 Plus, Volkswagen Tharu and Volkswagen T-Roc.

Among the family crossovers, Chery Tiggo 9, Toyota RAV4 and GAC GS8 are noted. The Wuling Hongguang V won in the compact minivan class, the GAC M6 and GAC M8 won in the mid-size class, and the Honda Odyssey won in the large-size class.
