Jeep disguises Wrangler and Gladiator as army Willys

The American automaker again turned to its roots, to its military past, and presented new special versions of the Wrangler SUV and Gladiator pickup truck. They received the name Sarge in honor of the 1941 Willys MB army SUV, the ancestor of a whole class of off-road passenger vehicles.

The main feature of Sarge is the vintage decor in ’41 Green color. The body in this shade is complemented by a white radiator grille, white “1941” lettering on the hood and white stars on the front doors. The top is also white. If you choose a different body color – black, white or gray – then the grille, decals and removable hard top will be painted in protective green.

Completing the look are bronze-colored towing eyes, steel side sill guards and 17-inch wheels painted the same army green. The car is shod with BFGoodrich KO2 off-road tires with an outer diameter of 33 inches,

Inside, there are seats with fabric upholstery and contrasting stitching; there are also small original decorative elements: a nameplate on the fifth door, a star on the gear knob, a “1941” sign on the cup holders and ventilation deflectors with a logo in the style of the Jeep radiator grille. American buyers will be able to order the 2027 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator Sarge this summer. The markup compared to regular versions is minimal: the four-door Wrangler will be $100 more expensive, and the Gladiator $500 more expensive.

Previously, Audi retained the V6 and V8 engines for the new Q7.
