Robotized gearboxes are now everywhere. They are installed on almost all the models, no matter what manufacturer take – there is almost no choice. But the love of automatic machines in Russia is unquenchable, and companies begin to adapt: such a transmission appeared, for example, Geely Atlas, EXEED RX and even on the Chery Arrizo 8 sedan. Now the Jetour T2 has a brutal all -triber at the Jetour T2. We met this car.
The first Jetour T2 appeared in our market last year almost at the same time – in the spring. The crossover was offered with a non -alternative two -liter turbo engine of the Cheri concern with a capacity of 245 horsepower (375 Nm) and a seven -speed “robot” with two clutches. The box, which had not been put on any other jet to this, suddenly turned out to be one of the best in terms of settings that are now presented on models from China.

But the owners had claims. The company corrected flaws with various updates, simultaneously not really hiding that a version with a classic automatic is being prepared for the exit.
A year later, an eight -speed hydromechanical box was added to the range of modifications, which is proposed for the new top version of Discovery. They openly prefer not to talk about the origin of the machine in Jetour, only clarifying that it was developed “in cooperation with the Japanese partner.”
However, apparently, we are talking about well -known Aisin, which has proven itself perfectly. Moreover, and the whole filling of transmission should also cause confidence in reliability – it uses German friction frictions, Japanese solenoids and some other “non -Chinese” details.
Structurally similar “hydromechanics” is already installed on the all -wheel drive version of Jetour Dashing and the Soueast 07 crossover – this brand, along with Jetur, is part of the Cher concern, so it can be assumed that in the future the same box will appear on its other models.
The transition to the machine expectedly affected the dynamics and economy of T2, but slightly. If the pre -sequestic option was gaining “hundred” in 8.7 seconds and spent about 9.3 liters of gasoline in a mixed cycle, then the new crossover became 0.2 seconds more slowly and 0.4 liters more voraciously.
And this is passport data. In reality, the numbers are slightly different: on the highway, a computer of a car with a robot showed about 11 liters per hundred kilometers of mileage. The option with the “hydromechanics” was fit into approximately the same values, but the riding on moderate off -road will increase them to about 13-15 liters.
On the go, the Jetour T2 with a machine gun behaves very much like a version with the presel – the settings are the same comfortable. The car is smoothly touched and accelerated (even with kikdown), the box imperceptibly switches the transmission, does not twitch, does not brake and does not confuse the transmission, behaving as predictably and understandable as possible.
Only a couple of times over all the time of the test there were light, inconspicuous pokes in transitional modes – and that’s all. But in general, complaints about the machine gun in a calm mode of movement, or in cases when you need to go more terrible, does not arise.
The gas pedal is slightly sorted out and the car is felt excessively lazy – especially on the highway, when it seems that T2 is not at all traveling to its 245 horsepower. The sports regime makes responses and the nature of the crossover is more terrible, but the operation of the automatic box remains the same smooth and comfortable, but at the same time almost devoid of delay in switching to reduced ones.
In reality, the difference in the dynamics between the car with the Robot and the automatic machine is unlikely to be noticeable. As in his behavior on the road: excellent stability in the line and worthy smoothness remained with him.
But it became even more convenient to control the car on off -road. The automatic box by default is less prone to overheating than the “robot”, and it is easier to control the traction and dose it here. And this is important because Jetour T2 is quite ready for small sorties outside the paved roads. Already “in the database” it goes with a metallic engine protection, it has a 22-centimeter road clearance, and the all-wheel drive transmission has blocking of both the center coupling and the rear inter-axial differential.
True, it cannot be blocked in advance in advance “Diffs”: this is the head of the electronics – there are seven modes of movement (including three for off -road). The model also has an off-road “creeping” cruise control, which operates at a speed of 7 to 15 kilometers per hour, the functions of assistance during the descent from the hill and control of the depth of the ford (which can reach 700 mm).
During the tests, neither modest rises in a hill, nor mud ruts, nor small fords, nor deep snow and other not the most convenient sections of offroud, which are full of spring suburban paths, did not bring any problems to the car (and its box).
In addition to the new gearbox, Jetour T2 had several more innovations. Firstly, the car received certification with the clutch: the maximum mass of the trailer is 750 kg or 1600 kg if it is equipped with brakes. It also applies to “fresh” machines with a robotic transmission.
Secondly, the version with the “hydromechanics” has a full-fledged spare wheel. If earlier, the dock was packed in the CFR, which, in order to get it, had to shoot, now everything has become much easier. True, to dismantle the rear view camera installed in the center of the wheel will still have to, as well as use the “secret” to unscrew the mounting bolts.
Thirdly, a crossover with a machine gun is offered only in a new (and herself well-equipped) version of Discovery. And if outwardly such a car can be distinguished by a spare tire without a coffee, then inside it does not stand out almost nothing. Unless a box with a “crystal” section.
The equipment is much more interesting here. For example, a massage appeared at the driver’s seat, the front passenger has a squeezer, and on the second row heating now extends not only to pillows, but also to the backs. Of the other little things, this is a 220 V in the trunk and a climate control with a PM2.5 particle filter.
And most importantly: Jetour T2 Discovery with an automatic machine is the most expensive and richly equipped model version, which costs 4,449,000 rubles.
The basic crossover with a robotic transmission is estimated at 3,959,000 rubles. Its equipment includes six airbags, LED optics, two-zone climate control, non-clue access, light and rain sensors, cruise control, wireless charging, circular viewing system and rear parking lots, as well as heating the steering wheel, windshield, glass gunner and seats of both rows.
The version for 4,249,000 rubles (also only with the “robot”) will receive a panoramic roof, adaptive cruise, front-line ventilation, front parking lots, Sony audio system with 12 speakers, atmospheric salon lighting and 20-inch discs instead of 19.
Discovery will receive all these options plus new equipment added specifically for this version.
Jetour T2 with a new box should interest those who plan to drive on this car not only on asphalt roads – here the full -fledged reserve is just in the subject. At the same time, the car did not lose its main positive qualities – it is a convenient, quiet and fairly comfortable crossover both in urban conditions and beyond. And T2 still holds the bar of one of the most interesting and balanced Chinese cars in our market. /m
