KamAZ will maintain a five-day working week

A number of successfully implemented projects and the conclusion of new contracts for the supply of products made it possible to ensure full production capacity in May, reports the press service of the Russian manufacturer of commercial vehicles.

Taking into account the accumulated volume of orders, the general director of the company, Sergey Kogogin, signed an Order, according to which in May KAMAZ workers will work for 18 days, taking into account holidays and weekends – May 1 (Spring and Labor Holiday), May 9 (Victory Day) and May 27 (Eid al-Adha).

The fact that KamAZ will transfer employees to a three-day work week was previously reported by the Mash Telegram channel. It was clarified that the company is preparing to transfer some of its divisions to such a schedule due to cost savings amid falling sales.

At the same time, KamAZ listed the reasons for the decline in sales of new trucks. The sharp decline in demand for heavy commercial equipment is strange and unusual, says Alexander Migal, director of the marketing department of KAMAZ PJSC.
