The Kurgan Bus Plant has prepared an improved version of the high-capacity semi-low-floor urban bus KaVZ-4270. This is the manufacturer’s most popular model. The new product, as Motor magazine learned, is intended for routes with heavy passenger traffic, and its capacity is 90 passengers.
The version presented now differs from the basic modification by the presence of a roof-mounted air conditioner, as well as a new closed-type driver’s workplace, that is, equipped with a partition.
The driver now has at his disposal a separate climate control system, a heated pneumatic seat with armrests, a steering column adjustable in two planes, and pantograph-type curtains.
Carriers have a choice of in-line 6-cylinder engines: diesel YaMZ with a power of 210 hp. or gas Yuchai with 214 hp output.

The Kurgan Bus Plant began its history with the production of bonnet buses on GAZ truck chassis. These cars were called “boots” because of their characteristic silhouette.
