The new product, the main market for which will be India, was shown in teaser images, at the same time announcing its debut – it is scheduled for December 19. Syros has a squared body and square lining on the wheel arches, which hints at the off-road nature of the model, while it belongs to the subcompact segment – the length does not exceed four meters. In India, Syros will be offered with petrol and diesel engines.
In the local Kia model line, the Syros model is allocated a step above the Sonet. Early teasers of the new product showed vertical DRLs in the style of the large electric crossover EV9, L-shaped lights, roof rails and “hidden” door handles. Kia has already confirmed that the Syros will receive a digital instrument panel, a 10.3-inch multimedia system screen, a Bose audio system, a panoramic roof, ventilated seats and a suite of ADAS electronic safety systems, as well as six airbags.

The engine range will include a 1.0-liter petrol turbo engine and a 1.5-liter 1.5 diesel engine. They will be paired with a six-speed manual and an automatic transmission; an option with a seven-speed preselective “robot” is also expected. Front-wheel drive only.
Judging by the fact that Kia has distributed images of the new model not only on Indian resources, but also on global platforms, we can expect that Syros will appear in other countries in the future. But the first will still be India, where they will establish the production of crossovers. Sales will begin in 2025.
