Currently, the registry includes 22 models from six brands, Kommersant reports. The list may be updated this spring.

According to the publication’s sources, at the end of March the Haval Jolion, F7 and F7x crossovers, as well as the Tenet T7 (this is an analogue of the Chery Tiggo 7L), should be added to the list. In April-May, the turn will come to the Jeland brand – Omoda C5, Jaecoo J7 and J6 will begin to be assembled under this brand.

In the future, the list may be expanded to include the Jetour Dashing model (manufactured by Avtotor in Kaliningrad), Volga brand cars (essentially Geely, which will be produced in Nizhny Novgorod) and the Atom electric car, the start of sales of which is scheduled for this year.

Currently, taxis can use Lada cars (from Granta to Niva Travel), Sollers SP7 and SF1, Evolute (i-Joy and i-Sky), Voyah (Free, Dream, Passion), Moskvich (3, 3e, 6, 8, M70, M90) and UMO 5.

On March 1, the law on taxi localization came into force. From now on, only equipment that meets one of three criteria can be used for passenger transportation.

Thus, a car can be produced under a special investment contract (SPIC), concluded from March 1, 2022 to March 1, 2025, or with permission from the Russian government, if the SPIC was signed later.

Another option for the model to be able to carry passengers is when the localization level corresponds to 3200 points. The Ministry of Industry and Trade issues scores annually.

Earlier, Russians were told about serious problems with their cars in the spring.
