Lada Iskra set a sales record in April

AvtoVAZ summed up its sales results for April 2026. In total, according to the company, 31,172 cars were sold on the Russian market, which is more than 12% higher than the result of March 2026, and also more than 4% higher than April 2025.

Separately, he mentions that sales of Lada Iskra for the first time exceeded 3 thousand units per month. In April, 3,212 cars of this model were sold, which is 24% ahead of the result of March 2026.

Initially, the model was built on the French CMF-B platform. However, after Renault left Russia, AvtoVAZ urgently had to modernize the “trolley” and make it technically independent.

The result is more than 1,000 new and 400 upgraded components. The localization depth of Iskra exceeds 90 percent, and it directly borrowed some solutions from Lada Vesta.

The Iskra is produced in several versions: sedan, station wagon and cross-station wagon. The range of engines includes the naturally aspirated 1.6 familiar from other Lada models (90 hp and 143 Nm; 106 hp and 148 Nm).
