Liquidity rating: 10 sedans that have rapidly lost value by five years

The rating was compiled by the portal Topspeed.com. The models on the list have been carefully researched to obtain the most accurate information about their liquidity at the time of publication.

The anti-rating was topped by Maserati Quattroporte. The average price loss over 5 years is 70%. This model faces the problem of low residual value from the very beginning due to the high price and delivery costs to the customer. It is almost impossible to maintain an acceptable price with such introductory prices. The situation is aggravated by questionable long-term reliability and high maintenance costs.

In second place is the BMW 7 Series, which loses 66.4% of the price of a new car in the first five years. The main disadvantages of the BMW 7 Series include the prohibitively high purchase price and unpredictably expensive maintenance. The situation is aggravated by poor reliability, which makes owning this sedan a serious test for the budget.

Third place goes to Maserati Ghibli. Its figure is 63.3% over 5 years. At a very high acquisition cost, the owner of a Maserati Ghibli receives frankly unimpressive equipment that is inferior to its competitors. Taking this into account, disappointing forecasts for the cost of ownership look quite natural – the operation of this sedan threatens to result in serious financial losses.

Next in the ranking of value loss over 5 years are the Audi A6 (60.9%), Audi A7 (60.5%), Jaguar XF (59.5%), Mercedes-Benz S-Class (59.5%), Tesla Model S (59.5%), BMW 5 Series (57.1%) and Volvo S90 (56.9%).

It was previously reported that UAZ is testing new diesel models in extreme conditions.
