In 2023, a man bought a new car for 3.3 million rubles with a warranty; over time, the driver discovered defects and contacted the dealership. This was reported by the Mash Telegram channel.
“They couldn’t fix the car in a timely manner and refused to return the money. Then Denis went to court. The car dealership was charged 45 million rubles – this included: the price of the chaise, the difference in cost at the time of purchase and the current price, a penalty for late return and a consumer fine,” the publication says.
According to the owner of the foreign car, after the court decision, the owner of the car dealership began to threaten the man with criminal charges, accusing him of fraud.
