Mitsuoka has distributed a sketch of a roadster in the style of the classic Chevrolet Corvette

According to Carscoops, the new product will debut in November 2026. The cost of the car is not mentioned.

The car’s design is reminiscent of classic American roadsters of the 1950s and 60s – in particular, the Corvette C1. The sketch is signed by Takanori Aoki, who previously designed the Himiko and Rock Star models.

It is expected that the new product, like its predecessors, will be built on the Mazda MX-5 platform. Under the hood there will likely be a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 181 hp. The car will have rear-wheel drive, a choice of manual or automatic transmission. The name of the model has not yet been disclosed.

Mitsuoka promises to publish new images in July, August and September, with a full presentation taking place in November. The car will most likely be released in limited edition only for the Japanese market.
