Mitsuoka will stop production of its fancy Ryugi sedan

The model, based on the Toyota Corolla Axio platform and produced since 2014, is being produced as a limited edition Final Edition. A total of 20 of these cars will be assembled, Carscoops reports.

Mitsuoka Ryugi Final Edition will receive a special emblem on the trunk lid in the form of a dial. All farewell cars will be finished in Black Mica and buyers will be able to choose between classic hubcaps or BBS alloy wheels to achieve their desired look.

The Ryugi’s design is a quirky mix of styles from late 1950s British cars such as the Jaguar Mark 2, Bentley S-Type and Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud.

Under the retro body lies the standard contents of the Toyota Corolla Axio: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 102 hp, a CVT, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Prices for the farewell series start at 3.3 million yen (1.6 million rubles at the exchange rate at the time of publication). For comparison, the donor Toyota Corolla Axio in the basic configuration costs from 1.6 million yen (792 thousand rubles).

Earlier it was reported that the revived Russo-Balt brand promised to reduce prices.
