Moskvich is ready for production lines for the atom electric cars

The press service of the startup talked about the equipment of the plant, where they will soon be launched by the serial assembly of the new Russian automotive industry. For the start of production, the welding areas, coloring, calibration, testing and quality testing are ready – all of them are involved in the release of the test samples of “atoms”, the so -called copies of the VC series (Vehicle Check).

The Atom shared photographs of the process of cleaning and preparing the surface of the body before applying cataphorace soil. It was photographed and verified by the upgraded transport system for moving the bodies along the workshop. The third picture captures the prototype of the basic platform and the modules located on it for driving and joining the suspension and electric motor.

At the next stage, “Moskvich” will begin the launch of the PT (Plant Trail) series: it is needed for detailed validation and working out the entire production process in industrial mode to confirm the design indicators of the equipment (cycle time, repeatability and reproducibility of processes). This step will become the final before the start of the serial production of atoms, which will be given later this year.

Atom is an electric car four meters long. It will be equipped with a rear electric motor with a capacity of 204 horsepower and a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 77 kilowatt hours. The range will be up to 500 kilometers in the WLTC cycle. A year ago, the general director of Atoma outlined the price range from 2.5 to 3.5 million rubles.
