New BAIC sedans are on sale in Russia: cheaper than the base Lada Vesta

Since the beginning of the year, budget cars assembled at the Kaliningrad Avtotor have been offered at a discount of up to 605 thousand rubles. The starting price of the BAIC U5 Plus with “mechanics” dropped to 1,485,000 rubles, and the overpayment for the commercially viable methane-fuel version dropped to zero! For comparison, the Lada Vesta NG sedan in its simplest configuration costs from 1,525,000 rubles.

Until the end of January, both the dual-fuel BAIC U5 Plus and its gasoline counterpart cost the same 1,485,000 rubles. In the first case, the direct discount will be 595 thousand rubles, in the second – 755 thousand rubles. The filling is almost identical, if you leave the methane cylinder out of the equation: a 5-speed manual transmission is combined with a naturally-aspirated 1.5 engine (105 hp, 134 Nm).

The initial configuration includes LED lights, eco-leather trim, 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, heated front seats, a rear view camera, heated electric mirrors, two airbags, ABS and ESP, air conditioning, rear parking sensors, as well as a media system with 12. 3-inch touchscreen.

There are discounts of 375 thousand rubles on sedans with a CVT, so such cars cost from 1,775,000 to 1,875,000 rubles, bi-fuel modifications – from 2,160,535 and 2,040,546 rubles, respectively.

At the same time, BAIC crossovers and SUVs have become cheaper in Russia: the discount ranges from 500 thousand to 1.1 million rubles. The promotion is valid for cars produced in 2024 and will last until the end of January.
