The Indian branch of the company confirmed the fast debut of another model. Now there will be two crossovens Kia on the SELTOS platform: along with the “budget” Carens, they will sell the “premium” Clavis. The design in the spirit of electric vehicles EV does not hide the main thing: the novelty will be a restyled Carens with extended equipment and proven units. All details will be revealed on May 8.
Basic configurations: what auto giants are silent about
Probably, Kia Clavis will inherit the corens of the skeleton and the main body elements, but lighting equipment and external plastic parts will change. There may also be a different stamping of the front wings. To emphasize the “premium” status, new wheels will be added, as well as previously unprecedented security and comfort options.
Kia
Kia Carens remains the only brand model in India without ADAS driver assistance systems, but on the new Clavis this problem will be fixed. The design of the virtual panel of the devices will also change, the 360 circular view camera will be added, and the front panel interface will be updated. As for the filling, unification is expected with the current compactiven. Three 1.5-liter engines will remain: atmospheric gasoline (115 hp), gasoline with boost (160 hp) and turbodiesel (116 hp).
Kia patented the latest sedan in Russia: he replaced Cerato
The premiere of Kia Clavis does not mean the resignation of Carens: two models intend to sell in parallel. Koreans will continue to produce both crosswans locally at a local factory, and export deliveries to foreign markets are not excluded.
