Since January, a 2.5-liter engine corresponding to the Euro-5 standard began to put on small-tonnage minibuses, vans and trucks. Earlier for almost three years, gas cars were equipped with diesel engines of the ecological class “Euro-2”. The updated diesel is called G51 (the “old” version is indicated by G21). In the G51A version for the Gazelle Next and Gazelle City minibuses, the torque is limited to 330 nm for the sake of the resource of a 5-speed gearbox. The G51C modification for the Gazelle NN and Sobol NN family develops 420 nm and works in a bunch with a more modern 6-speed “mechanics”.
