New rules for travel along the Moscow High-Speed Diameter are being introduced

For residents of the capital, the road will become tolled on February 15, 2025, but only on weekdays and during rush hours, according to the website of the mayor and government. A tariff of 5 rubles is introduced on nine sections of the highway – that is, if a motorist passes three sections, he will have to pay 15 rubles, but the maximum price will be 45 rubles. At the same time, the capital authorities reserve the right to revise tariffs if the MSD load reaches 6-7 points according to the Yandex.Traffic service.

Tolls will apply only on weekdays during peak hours: from 07:00 to 11:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. This is done in order not to reach the maximum road congestion. It is important to note that travel through any section of the MSD will be considered toll only if the car entered and left the section during the toll time. The cost of all trips made per day on the MSD is summed up, after which a total invoice will be issued within five days.

The rest of the time, including weekends and holidays, the travel rules will be the same as before – the road will remain free for Muscovites and residents of the Moscow region. The rules for transit travel of the Central Ring Road – MSD – Central Ring Road do not change. Drivers of emergency services, mail, municipal vehicles, public transport and school buses, as well as taxi drivers with a license in Moscow and the Moscow region will not have to pay for travel. For the latter, the impact of taxis on traffic congestion and the frequency of MSD use for transit trips will be analyzed after 2025. But car sharing users will pay the general tariff starting from February 15, payment will be made through the operator.

It will be possible to pay for travel in the “Parking of Russia” application, on the website msd.mos.ru and in third-party services – for example, on State Services or in bank applications (Sberbank, VTB and others).
