The Shelby American workshop presented its interpretation of the seventh generation Mustang. The new product received the traditional name GT350, but lost its naturally aspirated engine: the standard 5.0-liter V8 Coyote was supplemented with a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger. Output has been increased from 487 to 821 horsepower, while maintaining the option of choosing between a manual transmission and an automatic transmission.
How a North Korean created an iconic American car
Externally, the Shelby GT350 differs from the original in the absence of Mustang and Ford labels, the original hood, radiator grille and rear spoiler, as well as bumper trims. Also installed are custom 20-inch forged wheels and special Michelin tires. Inside, the differences come down to the gear selector knob, serial number plate and Shelby lettering on the backrests.

Under the hood is a V8 engine with a compressor, which can be paired with a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic. A Borla exhaust system is installed as standard, and the suspension has new shock absorbers, springs and anti-roll bars. For an additional fee, you can order the GT350R version with an engine boosted to 842 horsepower, a semi-cage and carbon tail.
Mustang Mach-E outperforms ‘real’ Mustang in 2024
The Shelby GT350 circulation will be limited to 526 copies, the price will start from 110 thousand dollars. There will also be 36 hardcore GT350Rs produced, but their price list and configurator have not yet been launched. New pony cars from Shelby American will also appear abroad, but details and quotas will be revealed later. It looks like there will no longer be special versions of Shelby under the Ford brand: the GTD is now at the top of the line.
