A rare French fastback Voisin C25 Aérodyne will be sold at auction. There are only three such machines in the world, and by preliminary evaluation, the lot can go for 2-2.5 million euros. A feature of the C25 Aérodyne is a sliding roof and adjustable shock absorbers.
The French brand Avions Voisin ceased to exist immediately after the Second World War, in 1946, leaving behind amazing examples of engineering. Among them are the four -door fastback Voisin C25 Aérodyne, presented at Paris Salon de L’Automobile in 1934. Only three out of eight-produced cars have survived to this day, and one will soon be put up at the Gooding & Company auction as part of the elegance competition on Amelia Isiland island.

In addition to an extravagant design trying to combine an aviation theme with the ar-deco style, C25 Aérodyn can boast of a sliding all-metal section of the roof connected to two vacuum pumps, a six-cylinder engine with spool valves, a two-stage electromechanical gearbox with two overdings and regulators from the salon of the aromas Dufaux-Repusseau shock absorbers .
The four -seater salon of the car went through the Hermès workshop, where it was abandoned with fabric and genuine leather. On the front panel you can see JaEger aircraft. The last restoration dates back to 2013, so for some time it will not be needed for the car. At the time of the premiere in 1934, C25 Aérodyne cost 70 thousand francs, more expensive than Bugatti Type 57. Today it is estimated at 2-2.5 million euros, which corresponds to 205.4-256.8 million rubles.
