Porsche officially stopped supplying to Russia, but remained due to problems with assets

The German automaker stopped sales back in the spring of 2022, but his three subsidiaries-Porsche Russia, Porsche Center Moscow and PFS Russia-still remain in the country. The concern admitted that so far it was not yet possible to find buyers for Russian units. This means that the departure of the brand from the market is not formally completed. The reason is the lack of successful transactions to transfer property.

Porsche AG has not yet completed a withdrawal from the Russian market. According to the press service of the car manufacturer, all attempts to sell their subsidiaries in Russia have not yet been successful. We are talking about the companies Porsche Russia, Porsche Center Moscow and PFS Russia. All of them are owned by the German brand, despite the cessation of official deliveries of cars.

Porsche will refuse the 718 sports car family for six months, Porsche is ready to refuse electric cars, but in only one country Porsche will release a new gasoline crossover

The representative of the corporate communications department Porsche AG Matthias Raureur explained that the sale of assets is difficult, although the desire to leave the market is maintained. The company itself stopped the supply of cars to Russia immediately after the start of it. In the official statement of the car manufacturer, such a decision was explained by a high degree of uncertainty and economic shocks.

Earlier it became known that Skoda and Volkswagen have the greatest difficulties with the prospect of returning to the Russian market. According to experts, these brands have lost competitive advantages, since Chinese manufacturers with more affordable and technically advanced cars took their positions.
