Production of portal bridges for electric buses has been organized in Russia

Murom Machine-Building Plant (Murommashzavod) launched the production of electric portal bridges for electric buses in the Vladimir region – this is a unit that includes a pair of traction electric motors. Previously, KamAZ battery-powered vehicles used components from the European brand ZF and the Chinese brand HanDe, which turned out to be expensive and short-lived.

Now the cost of one portal bridge of Chinese origin is about 3 million rubles, and its Russian counterpart, as the editors of Motor magazine found out, is 2.5 million rubles.

Murommashzavod notes that the current level of localization of the new product is 84%: electric motors, inverters, bridge beams and many other components are made in Murom.

It is curious that the bolts of energy accumulators are marked ZIL, but this is understandable: the capital plant legally still owns the enterprise that produces all kinds of hardware.

Russian bridges can be used on KamAZ, Volgabas, LiAZ and Sinara – city vehicles. The production volume is more than 200 bridges annually, but there is the possibility of increasing the volume to 3 thousand.

2.2 billion rubles were invested in the creation of a new production, of which 1.75 billion were provided by the Federal Industrial Development Fund (part of the funds was spent on organizing the production of steering racks).

“The best” ZIL-117P “Shorty” will be auctioned “We came to clear the snow”: the “Batmobile” was noticed at Belarusian customs The best-selling car brand in the whole world has been named

Meanwhile, the real operation of a new generation of “battery” transport has begun in the capital. Futuristic electric buses KamAZ-52 222 came on line.
