KamAZ launched production of axles for trucks

The truck giant will produce axles for K3 generation vehicles, as well as for the new K5 generation vehicles. As the editors of Motor magazine learned, the new units are characterized by minimal weight, compactness and increased service life.

The flagship axles of the new generation for KamAZ K5 generation vehicles have a number of advantages over their competitors.

Thus, due to the technology of producing a one-piece axle housing, including axles, brake calipers and suspension brackets, the load capacity has been increased.

The results of bench tests confirmed the durability of the crankcases over 6 million cycles, which is six times greater than the classic stamped-welded crankcase.

“The Industrial Development Fund provided a preferential loan in the amount of 5 billion rubles at an annual rate of 1% for the creation of production,” noted IDF Director Roman Petrutsa.

Meanwhile, in Russia they organized the production of portal bridges for electric buses. Previously, KamAZ battery-powered vehicles used components from the European brand ZF and the Chinese brand HanDe, which turned out to be expensive and short-lived.
