Renault will release the smallest crossover in its line, Bridger

The new product will be a response to the legendary Suzuki Jimny. However, this story has a bitter pill for fans of the brand in Europe: the car will only be sold in emerging markets, reports Carscoops.

The car, the official premiere of which will take place next week, is aimed primarily at India, Africa and the Middle East. Development is being carried out in India, where the model will be produced. The length of the car will not exceed four meters, which makes it even more compact than the new electric Renault 4 and Duster.

The Bridger’s design is deliberately brutal: square proportions and the obligatory spare wheel on the fifth door immediately evoke associations with the Jimny and Land Rover Defender. Renault promises that despite its modest dimensions, the car will be spacious inside.

Technically, the new product will most likely be unified with the latest Renault Duster. This means a familiar range of internal combustion engines and hybrids: from a 99-horsepower 1.0 turbo engine to a 158-horsepower hybrid unit based on a 1.8-liter unit.

The price of the car is still kept secret.

It was previously reported that UAZ would rename the SUV for the first time in the history of the Hunter model.
