Two sources in the dealer community told the publication about this. The official reason was not given, but, according to sellers, the decision may be due to not the highest sales figures.
“They didn’t specify the reason; they announced in January that they would no longer supply Okavango. Either because of not the highest sales, or because of something else. It is still larger and more spacious than the Monjaro, but it did not become a bestseller,” one of the interlocutors noted in a conversation with RG.
Geely itself promptly responded to the request and denied information about the curtailment of sales of the model. The press service of the Chinese brand stated that Okavango continues to be supplied to Russia and is in strong demand in the segment of seven-seat crossovers.
It is noteworthy that, despite official statements, dealerships are currently out of stock of 2026 vehicles. At the same time, stocks of cars produced in 2025 are still estimated to be significant.
