The availability of fuel is determined not only by its price, but also by the level of income of citizens. RIA Novosti experts, based on official statistics, compiled a rating of European countries by the volume of gasoline that can be purchased with an average monthly salary.
The leader of the ranking is Luxembourg – with high salaries and relatively low prices, residents can buy almost 3,000 liters of gasoline with their average income.
The UK takes second place – about 2,400 liters of fuel are purchased here with wages.
Austria, Sweden and Ireland round out the top 5, where the average monthly income can buy more than 2,200 liters of fuel.
Russia took 15th place in the gasoline availability ranking, located between Spain and Italy. The average salary in the country can buy 1285 liters of AI-95 gasoline.
When assessed without taking into account wages, the lowest price for AI-95 among the countries in the rating was recorded in Kazakhstan – 45.9 rubles per liter. In second place is Russia, where a liter of 95 gasoline costs an average of 67.5 rubles. The third place in terms of the cheapness of gasoline among European countries is occupied by Belarus, where gasoline costs about 70 Russian rubles per liter.
