Russian owners complained that Lixiang was unprepared for heavy snowfalls

After several hours of driving in a strong snowstorm, snow gets into the air filter, which is why the internal combustion engine stops producing the power necessary to charge the traction battery. According to the Kitachka Telegram channel, it is impossible to charge the battery, since the pipes and filter are clogged with snow.

It should be noted that the company’s cars appeared in Russia relatively recently: the peak sales years were 2024 and 2025, so the owners did not have time to accumulate much experience in winter operation.

Previously, owners of BMW crossovers (X5, X6 and X7) experienced problems with pipes becoming clogged with snow, so the problem is not unique to the global automotive industry.

In Tesla electric cars, replacing the battery can cost twice as much as the car

Meanwhile, Chinese automaker Li Auto (Lixiang) is optimizing its dealer network, planning to close about 100 showrooms and sales points, which is due to the need to cut costs amid failure to meet sales targets.

Currently, the brand is represented in China by almost 900 points, of which the company operates 548. Mostly showrooms in large shopping centers with high rents are subject to closure.
