At the Comtrans-24 exhibition, a promising single-volume vehicle was displayed at the stand of the Ulyanovsk enterprise. There was no stand with specifications, but on the specialized website fotobus we were able to capture a sign indicating a curb weight of 8.9 tons. Initially, SIMAZ planned to equip the bus with an American Allison transmission and a Chinese Weichai engine.
KamAZ showed the successor to the best-selling city buses NefAZ
The SIMAZ demonstration bus is designed for 27 seated passengers, but the liquefied natural gas (propane) version will have a less spacious interior with 23 seats. In any case, we are talking about a low-floor modification with two doors and a 5.0-liter Weichai unit (200 horsepower, 670 Nm).

After the introduction of sanctions, SIMAZ produced buses with Isuzu equipment imported through parallel imports: American Allison automatic machines will probably be imported in the same way. However, the use of foreign parts affects the cost: the popularity of the new urban low-floor vehicle will depend on the selling price. The model will probably go into production in 2025.
The PAZ all-terrain bus, which did not go into production, was put up for sale
The best-selling bus produced by SIMAZ may be KamAZ Vega. Such cars appeared on the market in the fall, and at an attractive price of about eight million rubles. In some regions, Vega can already be found on routes: for example, one such bus is operated in Ivanovo.
