According to the company, this will happen due to the fact that manufacturers can compensate for waste collection by localizing the production of bodies and components in Russia. Currently, the salvage fee for a car is 1 million rubles, and the additional option is 500 thousand rubles.
“Russo-Balt is preparing technical documentation for full compensation of the recycling fee, so that the price of an electric vehicle does not include an unnecessary financial burden for our customers. Thus, by the start of sales in 2027, the F200 electric van in the basic configuration will cost 5 million rubles,” the company reported.
The Russo-Balt F200 electric van, presented at the beginning of the year, is planned to be produced to order. The starting price was previously announced – 6.5 million rubles.
Certification procedures for the model are still ongoing. The van has a load capacity of 1000 kg and a category B driver’s license is sufficient to drive it. The body is manufactured using manual welding.
Cars under the Russo-Balt brand were produced from 1909 to 1918. The total production amounted to several hundred cars.
It was previously reported that UAZ is testing new diesel models in extreme conditions.
