Sales of 13 new car models began in Russia in 2026

In particular, the Chinese hatchback GAC Aion UT, hybrid sedans Geely Galaxy Starshine 6 and Roewe M7 were included in the registration statistics for the first time. In total, in January, seven new models of passenger cars and four of light commercial vehicles, as well as two models of trucks, appeared in our country.

Among passenger cars, the crossovers Jetta VS8, MG RX9 and Voyah Taishan in a hybrid version were also registered in Russia for the first time. Another new product is the Umo 5 electric crossover from Yandex. Seven-seater MG RX9 with a 2.0 engine producing 204 hp. sold in Russia at a price of 4.3 million rubles. The start of official sales of Voyah Taishan in Russia is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. The Jetta JS8 crossover, comparable in size to the second generation Skoda Kodiaq, has been produced in China since 2025.

In the light commercial vehicle segment, vans from the Chinese brand Junfeng K33 and Russian brand Sollers SF5, as well as the electric van Ruichi EC75 and minibus Wuling Sunshine, appeared on sale. Also in January, the Sadko 9 GAZ and the Wanshan WS1181GJB5 heavy truck went on sale. A month earlier, in December 2025, 19 new models were added to the registration statistics in Russia.
