Sales of electric vehicles in Russia fell 70 percent

According to the results of the first quarter of 2025, the Russians bought only 1854 new electric cars. This is 69 percent less than the same period of last year. Moreover, this is less than in March 2024 alone, when the importers tried to import as many cars as possible before the new rules of import through the EAEU countries. The leading is still the leader of the Zeekr brand, which is still not officially present on the market.

All of them are imported “gray”, but it was reported that the official entry into the market can still take place thanks to Sinomach Auto, representing Oting and Rox in Russia. If the importer managed to agree with the “daughter” of Geely, “white” sales will start in the fall.
