The key reason is the sharp rise in prices: over the year, the most popular L7 model has increased in value by almost 20%. The head of the analytical agency Avtostat, Sergei Tselikov, reported this on his Telegram channel.
“The official distributor of the brand is a subsidiary of the Chinese company Sinomash Auto. She consolidated her dealer network, but received OTTS for a very long time. As a result, the document was received and cars began to be supplied officially in December. At the moment, about 1.5 thousand cars have already been imported through the OTTS,” the expert noted.
Meanwhile, parallel imports are fading away. If in October and November individuals imported 1.8 and 2.0 thousand Lixiang, then in December – already 1.1 thousand, and in January – only 172 cars.
Peak sales of the brand occurred in 2024 (23,230 units). In 2025, sales decreased by almost half (-45%). In January 2026, 643 cars were sold – a third less than a year ago.
Tselikov believes that the main reason for the drop in sales was the rapid rise in prices. The regular increase in recycling collection also had an effect, as well as the fact that “official cars turned out to be significantly more expensive than “parallel” ones.
