Solaris first took ninth place in the Russian car market

Over the 10th week of 2025 (from March 3 to 9), 387 new Solaris cars were sold in Russia-a brand, under which at the “Hende Metor Manufacturing Rus” automobile plant) in St. Petersburg, renamed Hyundai and Kia are collected. Thus, the brand first ended up in the ten market leaders, and immediately in ninth place, Avtostat reports.

The unconditional leader is still LADA, which last week sold 5650 new cars. It is followed by four Chinese stamps: Haval (1939 cars), Chery (1724), Geely (1045) and Changan (804 cars).

The sixth line was taken by Omoda (553 cars), the seventh – Belgee (425), the eighth – Jacoo (394).

The ninth position went to Solaris, and the 10th this time was Jetour, on the models of which 358 customers were chosen.

In general, 16.9 thousand new cars were sold in Russia from March 3 to 9. That is, the market continued the fall: it is 16 percent less than a week earlier, and 38 percent less than the same week 2024. In February, the Russians bought only 85.3 thousand cars, which became the worst indicator since May 2023.
