Sollers launched production of new gearboxes for SF5 and SF7 cars

Production was launched at the facilities of the Sollers Transmission Production enterprise, located at the industrial site of the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant (ZMZ), the company’s press service reports.

“New modifications of the units have become a development of the basic versions of manual transmissions, the production of which started in 2024 with the support of the Industrial Development Fund. The expansion of the transmission model range was made possible due to the flexibility of the production line and its rapid changeover,” the Sollers press service reported.

Currently, Sollers Transmission Production produces 6-speed manual transmissions for the Sollers line of light commercial vehicles and pickup trucks, as well as for the UAZ Profi (Lorry) model. In addition, the company produces electromechanical transfer cases for Sollers pickups.

It is important to note that casting and machining of gearbox housings are also mastered at the Trans-Volga site. This work is carried out by the RosALit foundry, part of the Sollers group.

The total investment in the development of the ZMZ industrial site since 2023 has exceeded 3 billion rubles. These investments include costs for powertrain production, transmissions and foundry projects.
