Sollers will entrust the UAZ production of a frame seven -seater SUV

As the Izvestia newspaper found out, the assembly of the new model will begin at the facilities of the Ulyanovsk plant in 2026. It will be a pickup SUV, with a frame structure and three rows of seats, which will enter the Russian market under the Sollers brand. It is known that the novelty will receive a two -liter turbo engine with a capacity of 200 horsepower, an eight -speed machine and all -wheel drive.

“This will be a model developed by Sollers based on a pickupa,” Izvestia quoted the representative of the company. “We plan that the release of this SUV will begin in Ulyanovsk at the site of the Industrial Park at the beginning of next year.”

Details about the frame of SULLERS SUV appeared last year. Then it was reported that the Jac T9 Chinese pickup will be taken as the basis, while the Sollers model will have original components – another radiator grille made in black, and original rear racks with additional window sections.

The Russian engineering holding Sollers is already producing several twisted JAC models under its own brand: the small -tonnage van of Argo, aka N25/N3, the Atlanta van (Sunray) and the ST6 pickup (T6). Recently, ST8 joined them, he is a slightly turned on the Chinese Jac T8. Moreover, ST6 and ST8 are currently produced according to the full cycle, that is, with welding and coloring, at the capacities of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant.

For this, the enterprise put into operation a 130-meter welding line and the chassis assembly line, as well as modernized paint and assembly production. The ST6 and ST8 body are collected on the same conveyor as the UAZs, and the final assembly occurs on the new production line mounted specifically for Sollers models.

In the future, the Sollers pickup line will be replenished with a new model – apparently, we are talking about a hybrid, which will be assumed, presumably, the Chinese Jac Hunter Phev.
