The rise in prices for spare parts of these brands was recorded by the Russian Union of Automobile Insurers (RUA) in its updated directories of the cost of spare parts, which are used to calculate compensation under compulsory motor liability insurance. On average, prices recorded in directories increased by 3% compared to the previous version, published at the end of 2025.
“The new version of the guide to the average cost of spare parts shows that there is a tendency for these prices to increase. At the same time, price dynamics for different car brands vary markedly. Thus, prices for the brands BMW (+6.2%) and Ford (+5.2%) showed a noticeable increase,” the RCA press service noted in a statement.
In the case of the Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Kia and Hyundai brands, insurers recorded price increases in the range of 1.2−2.8%. At the same time, RSA admitted that there has been no reduction in prices for spare parts for any popular car brands, including Chinese ones.
In the previous version of the guides, which came into force in December 2025, insurers recorded an average increase in the cost of spare parts of 1% and noted significant increases for Nissan, Renault and Chevrolet. Toyota, Mercedes and Kia were then in the general trend, and prices for spare parts for Chinese cars were declining.
