Geely is preparing for the premiere the largest crossover in the Galaxy line, a prototype of which [был представлен](https://motor.ru/news/galaxy-starship-25-04-2024.htm) last April at the Beijing Motor Show. According to Car News China, the new product will probably be called Geely Galaxy Starship 9 EM-i – by analogy with the “younger” Starship 7 EM-i. The interior, as can be seen from recent photographs, will not be nearly as futuristic as that of the concept car.
In front of the “ninth” Geely Galaxy Starship, a large screen of the multimedia system is visible, which can probably be moved to the right and left along the front panel. The Starship 7 EM-i has a 14.6-inch display and is noticeably smaller. The driver’s side is covered with a cover, but you can expect a digital instrument panel there, similar to that of the 7 EM-i. The steering wheel was also migrated from other Geely Galaxy models.

Also interesting is a two-level center console with plenty of storage space and a two-piece tailgate, like a Range Rover. It is expected that the list of equipment will include a head-up display and many “smart” assistants. Among the latter are seats that Geely claims will be “the world’s first AI seats.” The Chinese have not yet disclosed details about the new feature.

The new Geely Galaxy will be built on the GEA (Geely Electric Architecture) platform, also known as the “Geely AI digital chassis.” The crossover will be driven by the latest NordThor hybrid system – Geely’s answer to BYD’s DM technology.
NordThor consists of a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 111 horsepower and two electric motors. The power reserve by Chinese standards can reach up to 2390 kilometers.
