Daihatsu recently updated the Hijet Cargo and Atrai models. Subaru followed suit, making similar changes to its version. The updated Sambar Van received an expanded set of security systems, a digital dashboard (only for the passenger version of Dias) and an optional multimedia screen. The basic modification with a manual transmission still remains the most affordable in the line. Carscoops reports this.
The van’s appearance has not changed. Sambar is 3395 mm long and retains its vertical angular shape. The basic VB version continues to have small steel wheels and unpainted bumpers. Higher trims add LED headlights, body-colored bumpers and alloy wheels.
At the top of the line is the Sambar Van Dias. Its radiator grille with chrome and black elements follows the design of its twin – the Daihatsu Hijet Atrai. Subaru offers this van in a single body style, as well as the technically related Sambar Truck, which recently received its own update.
The four-seater cabin is equipped with a new digital “tidy” – “Active Multifunction Display”, which is only available on the Van Dias version. For buyers whose vehicle is not equipped with a touchscreen, a 9-inch multimedia system with navigation is offered as a factory option on select trim levels.
