The ancient automobile brand “Russo-Balt” has been revived in Russia

The rights to the brand were bought by a company of the same name from Perm. The first deliveries of cars will begin in a year.

On the brand’s official website, the company presented images of the first model – an electric van, the design of which echoes the futuristic Tesla Cybertruck pickup truck.

According to the company, the Russo-Balt van is made of stainless steel. The car is equipped with a 200 hp electric motor. and a battery with a capacity of 115 kW/h, which provides a range of up to 400 kilometers on a single charge.

Thermal control of the battery and interior allows you to operate the car in the temperature range from -45 °C to +45 °C.

The electric van is planned to be produced to order. Its starting price will be 6.5 million rubles, and the first deliveries to customers are scheduled for January 2027.

Certification procedures for the model are still ongoing. The van has a load capacity of 1000 kg and a category B driver’s license is sufficient to drive it. The body is manufactured using manual welding.

Cars under the Russo-Balt brand were produced from 1909 to 1918. The total production amounted to several hundred cars.

Earlier it was reported that in Russia they sell a VAZ-2101 with lambo doors and a powerful engine.
