The Avtotor plant will begin assembling Rox SUVs in the summer

The Russian office of the Chinese brand Rox has revealed plans to localize cars. The production partner, as was previously known, will be the Kaliningrad plant Avtotor. But now information has emerged that the first Russian-assembled production cars should be delivered to customers no later than June 2026, reports the press service of the distributor, Sinomach Auto.

At the initial stage, it is planned to use a “screwdriver” technology for the production of cars based on a painted body, but deepening localization is not excluded.

The company did not specify which model will be put on the conveyor belt of the Kaliningrad enterprise. The brand’s most recent development is the Adamas, which is formally announced as the brand’s second model, but in fact is an improved version of the Rox 01 all-terrain vehicle.

In Adamas, the 1.5 engine-generator was replaced by a Mitsubishi unit, which increased the total range to 1226 km versus 1135. At the same time, the traction battery with a capacity of 56 kWh and dual-motor all-wheel drive (475 hp, 740 Nm) remained unchanged.

The basic version, called “Family”, has a seven-seater interior and costs from 10.1 million rubles. After the start of Russian assembly, the price should become lower.

Motor previously named the pros and cons of the Rox Adamas SUV. The first public dynamic tests for the new product were in the region of extreme temperatures, deep snow drifts and amazingly friendly people.
