The fact that the Belgee X50 will receive important updates became known during the presentation of the “Quality Mark” awarded to this model in Belarus to the management of the plant.
“The company is not standing still, they are working on restyling this model. The new car will no longer be equipped with a three-cylinder, but with a four-cylinder engine. The electronics will also be improved and adaptive cruise control will appear. The first 20 samples of the car have already been made,” reports the Belarusian state news agency BelTA.
A certificate for one of the updated cars was presented to the country’s President Alexander Lukashenko in order to take into account his comments on the design of the car. Lukashenko promised to give this gift.
“Because all the gifts that are for me personally, I send to people,” he said.
Belgee X50 is a localized copy of the first generation Chinese Geely Coolray. According to the Belgi plant, in 2025, 38.3 thousand crossovers of this model were sold in Russia, and another 11 thousand cars in Belarus.
