Belarusian motorists buy cars from the Chinese brand Bestune significantly cheaper than Russians, Motor magazine found out while monitoring the price lists of auto companies.
Thus, in Belarus, the new Bestune B70 can be bought for 75.9 thousand local rubles, which at the current exchange rate is about 2.07 million Russian rubles. This is how much dealers ask for a modification with a 160-horsepower 1.5-liter turbo engine and a robotic gearbox in the Enjoyment package.
In Russia, the Bestune B70 in a similar configuration is offered for 2.85 million rubles. The official Bestune price lists indicate that this is the recommended retail price of the liftback without taking into account current promotions. Thus, the difference between cars in the EAEU member countries reaches 770 thousand rubles or 27%.
The most expensive version of the Bestune B70 in the Master configuration with a 2.0-liter engine and automatic transmission in Belarus costs 85.9 thousand local rubles (about 2.34 million Russian rubles); in the Russian Federation, a car with the same configuration will cost 3.6 million rubles. The difference also exceeds 1.3 million rubles.
Prior to this, the editors of Motor magazine, having studied the official price lists, found out that Belarusian motorists can purchase a Geely Monjaro significantly cheaper than Russians.
Earlier it was reported that Russians will experience a new jump in prices for new cars in March.
